I am a dedicated oncology and immunology researcher with over five years of experience spanning pharmacology, toxicology, and tumor microenvironment studies. My work integrates advanced wet‑lab techniques with scientific communication and cross‑functional collaboration; skills essential for both scientific discovery and medical affairs engagement.
As a Post‑Doctoral Associate in Dr. Ronald Buckanovich’s lab at the Magee‑Womens Research Institute (UPMC), I investigate how the stromal protein TGFBI shapes immune responses and therapeutic sensitivity in ovarian cancer. I design and optimize preclinical models, profile immune cells using high‑parameter flow cytometry and molecular assays, and analyze clinical trial samples to generate insights that support biomarker discovery and translational strategy.
My Ph.D. research at West Virginia University explored how environmental exposures-ultrafine carbon black, ozone, nanoparticles, and microbial imbalance-drive inflammation, lung-gut axis disruption, and systemic immune dysregulation. These studies connected inhalation toxicology with pharmacology, revealing mechanisms that influence disease progression and therapeutic outcomes.
Across my training, I have worked with murine cancer models, patient‑derived xenografts, acute lung injury systems, and DNA damage response knockout models. My technical expertise includes multicolor flow cytometry, cell sorting, qRT‑PCR, western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, and in‑vivo techniques such as bone marrow transplantation and multiple drug administration routes.
Beyond the bench, I am committed to clear scientific communication, mentoring trainees, collaborating with clinicians and scientists, and preparing manuscripts, presentations, and grant materials. My work has resulted in numerous peer‑reviewed publications and cross‑disciplinary partnerships that advance scientific understanding and support clinical and medical affairs objectives.
I am driven by the goal of connecting discovery to impact-whether through generating high‑quality data that informs therapeutic development or communicating scientific insights that support healthcare decision-making.
